Lemon juice: 1 tsp.
Salt to taste
Red chilli powder: 1/2 tsp.
Turmeric powder: 1/2 tsp.
Black pepper powder: 1/2 tsp.
Fennel seeds: 1/2 tsp.

Dessicated coconut: 1 tsp.
Onion (chopped): 1
Ginger (grated): 1 inch
Garlic (grated): 3 cloves
Green chilli (chopped): 1
Curry leaves: a few
Tomato (chopped): 1
Coriander powder: 1/2 tsp.
- Cut the fish into small pieces and keep aside. Make a mix of ginger garlic paste, lemon juice, salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, fennel seeds and black pepper powder. Marinate the fish in this mix for 10 minutes.
- Heat oil and add the fish pieces without marinade to the oil and fry for about 2 minutes on each side, drain from oil and keep aside.
- Heat the same pan and add coconut. Add onion after 10 seconds and fry until the onions are transparent.
- Add ginger and garlic and mix well. Add curry leaves and green chilli. Mix well and let cook for 2 minutes.
- Add the tomato and mix well. Add salt and coriander powder and mix well, cook until the tomatoes become soft and mushy.
- Add the curry leaves and the remaining marinade. Mix well and let cook for 3-4 minutes. Add the fish pieces and mix. Cook for another minute and turn off the flame. Serve hot !
